What is a good breakfast option?

A good breakfast option often includes a balanced combination of macronutrients to kickstart your day with sustained energy.

Although opting for a high-protein breakfast is a smart choice for several reasons:

1. Satiety and Appetite Control:

  • Protein is known for its satiating effect, meaning it helps you feel fuller for longer and therefore satisfied. This can curb mid-morning cravings, reducing the likelihood of reaching for unhealthy snacks.

2. Metabolic Boost:

  • The thermic effect of food (TEF) is the energy required to digest, absorb, and process nutrients from your meals. Protein has a higher TEF compared to fats and carbohydrates, meaning your body burns more calories in the digestion process, potentially aiding weight management.

One of my go to breakfast options is three poached eggs on toast.

You can always add 50g of Avocado (healthy fats) to act as a spread but try to steer clear of butters and margarines which will just load up the calories unnecessarily.
